The Story of Edition 8
Hello, I’m Mohsin Kabir Rony. I’ve been working in design from Dhaka since 2014. It all started with freelancing—working on product design, development, and creating new things for people and organizations both locally and internationally. Over time, I began to realize that design is not just about making a product look good. Behind every good design, there is a thought, a story, experimentation, and sometimes countless failures.
Edition 8 is a new chapter in that long journey.
It started as a small initiative, driven by the desire to create something beyond the ordinary—something that is more than just a product, but carries a thought, a story, and a feeling.
Today, we work with lighting, sculptural objects, wall art, décor, and many other things. Our goal is not simply to create beautiful objects, but to create pieces that add character to a space and make people stop, think, or start a conversation.
And the most important part of this story is you—the people who found us online, trusted our work, supported us, and gave us the courage to create something better.
Edition 8 is not just my story. It is an ongoing story built on design, curiosity, experimentation, and the trust of people.
And the story is still just beginning.
